Firstly, we went swimming with Nanny on Wednesday. It was very fun, and the whistle kept being blown to announce a wave-warning, and the water kept crashing up to the side of the pool. We had to go in rubber-rings in case we got too tossed about. Further in it was a bit safer – and it didn’t cover our heads so much as it did in corners. Me and Tilly liked to put our heads undrerneath the water as the waves kept pouring down on us, and (even if we were in a rubber ring) we kept being pushed towards the most dangerous part and Mummy or Nanny had to keep coming close to us and pulling us heavily towards the safe side.
As I might have told you before, there was what we call a ’round the block’. There was a big bend in the pool and if you went in it it would take you (really fast) round to the other end. That’s the Round the Block. Me and Tilly went in rubber rings in it otherwise it would whish us away to the other side of the pool away from Mummy and Nanny. Once we were coming out to go home, but the steps were very close to the ’round the block’ area, so it washed me away back to the deep end where I couldn’t reach the floor…Tilly had to come to get me, but the water was pushing me back, so Mummy had to pull me with all her force back to the steps – where I nearly got swept away again!
Then we went in the jacuzi. Nanny stayed in the normal pool because she thought it would be too hot, so me, Tilly and Mummy went to bathe in one of the empty ones. It had dips in it so it was like steps in the jacuzi, so that people walked down it and then they’d sit on the highest shelf-seat and relax their feet on the lower ones. Me and Tilly went down to see if Nanny was okay while Mummy stayed in the jacuzi bowls bathing. Then I left Tilly with Nanny and went to relax in the jacuzi with Mummy.
