We went to another Christmas party, yesterday – two Christmas parties in two days! We just literally went in and the DJ said, “Help yourself to food! Eat lots! Please, these things need to run out!” And as we looked around, there were long, long tables with food littered across them, and plates overflowing with sandwiches, vegetables and cakes. Nobody knew anyone, we could have just been wondering around on the streets – come in, and there was tables of delicious food to enjoy! Well, we knew some of them – Katie, Lara, Ki, Taryn, some other people from this other club, but there was SO many people we didn’t know many of them.
Also it was snowing! (Well, it wasn’t real snow, it came from a machine – it was phome, basically.) Anyway, it was amazing! Really it was bubbly phome BUT I DON’T CARE! We danced around in it, got our shoes soaking and some in our mouths and up our noses (and unfortunately for Mummy in our hair). And when I came in Anna and Elsa from Frozen were there and I heard Ki’s friend say that Elsa made it snow 😉
Isla (a little three-year-old friend of mine) was there too, with her mum and her little baby sister Elodie. Elodie’s so cute! Me and Isla went to play on the Bucking Reindeer. The Bucking Reindeer is when you sit on this plastic toy reindeer thing and then there’s a man controlling it and making it go fast and slow and jerky and you’ve got to try and stay on for as long as possible. I went on it probably…four or five or possibly six times, maybe…? Eve Mummy went on it, and the man made it really fast and in about half a minute, she was tumbling off 😉
Katie was there too, and we gave her a Christmas present. I better not say what it is, as Katie might read this post and see. But I can tell you that it’s C-O-O-L cool – but that’s all.
Anyway, they also had this cool game where I won an absolutely cute teddy whom I’ve named Mittens, as she’s wearing wintery clothes like a hat, gloves (I called her Mittens because she was wearing gloves, and you can’t call a teddy ‘Gloves’), a stripy scarf and earmuffs.
We also did some kind of pottery stuff. We picked up some clay models and painted them all pretty, different colours. I painted an owl, Tilly a penguin (I’m not surprised) and Katie painted a teddy bear, like Teddy herself. My owl had a blue back and ears and face, purple eyes, a yellow nose, yellow feet and I-can’t-remember-what-colour tummy.
There were so many things to do, I didn’t even get round to making gingerbread men with Tilly! I won some competitions – like this one where it was like a peg-board thing and you had to drop tokens into pockets. The pockets had numbers on them and you had to try and get the tokens in the ones that added up to eight. On that stool I won Mittens. There was also a raffle where I won a Mister Maker Craft Kit. I also made some delicious cupcakes with tasty icing and decorations – even dried raspberry pieces! Posh, posh, posh! They were doing face-painting too, but by the time I was there she was putting it away 🙁
I also went to see Santa Claus (not the real one) and he gave me a present, and he seemed glad about having a selfie 😉 I don’t know what the present is, but it looks cool whatever it is. I’m very excited as when it’s Chistmas I can open it!
