You know I told you that I had a really busy week? Well, we didn’t go to our nature walk yesterday as it was pouring with rain, and rain and soil makes mud, and there’s soil in parks and a very rainy day like that wouldn’t be the best for a walk 😉 But wait – uh, uh, uh! There’s more to it! (You might hear me say that phrase a lot on my website.) Anyway, we went Boombastic Bowling today, and it was boomtastic (as you might have guessed)!
The last time I went bowling I wasn’t exactly the best, but this time I was much better (though I do confess that I did lose – but there were two grown-ups, two around-the-age-of-twelve boys, Tilly, who’s eleven, and me, who’s eight – so don’t underestimate me, eh, buster?). I was better at the rolling techniques and I didn’t need a ramp to push the bowling ball away and down the lane. Obviously, I was pretty scared, as I was against a bunch of grown-ups and older kids, but nothin’s stopping me, init, matey? *ASTERISKS*
I found it hard at first with the rolling techniques and the heaviness of the ball, but once Mummy had given me a few tips, I mixed them up and made them into a tip-line, in which I used to make the skills of proper bowling. Mummy had only just told me the few tips quite near the end, and so I didn’t have much time to mix them together, so in the end I gained a few more points before the round was over, when we discussed the winner.
Unfortunately, Mummy was the winner, and I lost.
Underneath Mummy’s unfortunate triumph, we have a lot more to do this Weekly Week, and here goes more than more!
*ASTERISKS* I was being weird a minute ago – please excuse my talking behaviour…I’m sorry.
