A few days ago, we went to a geology walk. We were late, unfortunately, so we couldn’t catch up with Alex and the other mummies. But, luckily for us, there were two other mummies and their children who were late, and so we walked along with them. We had to pretend that we knew what all the geology stuff was, and so went on saying, “Ah, yes – there’s some soft and hard clay because…er…because there is…um…er, yes…quite right…”
We found a sun dial too, and tried to stand on a particular thing or whatever it is (forgotten already) to make some sort of shadow appear…or something…Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool, let alone what the others thought!
I made another friend, who was really nice. She had the idea of crazy princesses with sharp spears and fiercesome axes… 😉
At first, it was a peaceful walk – the girls trotting along and talking happily, the boys taking samples of trees, the mummies chatting about new Facebook updates (ha, ha, ha) – until my friend came along and said, “Let’s be princesses with sharp spears and heavy, chunky things to clonk made-up animals with!” and so, we did 😉
At the end, Alex was in the car-park. We played for a while before we had to go. I pretended to be the mother of my friend and Alex’s little sister. I made pasta – made-up, dirty, grassy, soily pasta. Like to know the ingredients? There’s soil for the mince, grass for the herbs, logs for the meat, straw for the pasta, weaty-stuff for the seasoning and probably a lot more!
