The Week of Busy Busy Bee

This week was basically just a week of busy bees party, and all that really happened was business. We went swimming one day with Nanny. We also visited some friends – Kate, Roxxy and Ronny, Martha, Charlotte, Martin, Kerk, and Freyja and Flo and Stan. That was all in one day! We also did all our fun and half-fun and half-spoilt club (like Parkour) and a lot of other thingy-things, like some science WHIZZ BANG POP experiments.

First off, we went swimming with Nanny in the Oasis pool. We went in the lovely warm jucuzzi, where we relaxed in the boiling hot bubbles. And you know what? We weren’t exactly ‘relaxing’, we were more boiling to death in a witch’s cauldron. To be honest with you, it was nice, but terrible at the thought of being eaten by a wicked Sea Witch…

We also went in the mini and big pool where we swam around all day, playing games like Croc & Mermaid, where the crocodile tries to catch the mermaid but unfortunately, it has to headbutt, and the mermaid has to swim cross-legged. It’s all pretty hard.

The next day, we went to see Mummy’s friend Charlotte and her daughter Martha. She’s really cute with her little bouncy bob and cute hairband. She really liked the books we took in for her (Paddington and One Winter’s Day). Martha was really shy at first, but then she perked up a bit and started eating all Charlotte’s biscuits. I WANT ONE! (Not a biscuit, a child, but I would like a biscuit too.)

We went for a walk and got some chips. It’s so pretty where they live, although it was really cold and too muddy to play in the park 🙁

We then went to Kate’s and Kerk’s house, where we met the two dogs (Roxxy and Ronald), Freyja and Flo and their little baby brother Stanley. We played loads of fun games in the playroom, made a little band together, played Survival Craft, had a DISCO (whoo yeah, ooh, ooh, ooh, yeah, baby) and had a cool Fashion Show. I brought Flo some of my old clothes, and she suited them all.

We made a science experiment too, and we saw all the results of what had happened. We cut open some celery and stuck them in two pots of water and food-colouring to see how it travelled up the stem. What do you think happened? Well, we saw little coloured dots on the xylem tubes, where the water had travelled upwards. It was really cool. The leaves were going all blue from the food-colouring, and the transpiration was quite clear.
