You know when I say ‘I’ve been to a club today’? Well, I’ve been to it again, and I did a bit more than ‘the usual’. We came there to find two rock singers, a man and a woman. The woman had dreadlocks and the man had weird clothes and they both of them had weird guitars. The woman has a deep guitar that she used for the beat, whereas the man had a kind of high-pitched one that made the proper noises. Their band was called ‘Rock Out’.
We all had a disco with the man and woman and guess what? Matilda won the Musical Statues game and got a CD! It had things like Lazy Sunday, Rebel Yell, Crazy and some other songs we had/hadn’t heard of.
It turned out to be three birthdays, or at least a week before or after, so there were three cakes to give out. I can’t remember having three slices of everything, only two slices on one cake and a cupcake. I think. But anyway, it was a delicious chocolate cake and the cupcakes were scrumptious and ever so tasty was everything!
Then we all went to the park after a little boy’s book club, where we played and played. We made ink out of the sand and water. In fact, we got two whole bottles of soapy water and another bottle for collecting sand in. Then we poured the sand onto the roundabout and poured a bit of soapy water onto the sand. Then it turned into thick brown mud. Matilda made a Take-Away Shop and Katie made a Noodle-Shop, while I stuck with the Body Shop. I shaped wet mud into rectangles and circles. Then I’d colour it, and rub any of it onto any customers who thought that it was just a coloured bar of soap, but it would have been freshly made of mud. It turned out that we had accidentally ruined the roundabout with sop, but we really didn’t mean to and were only trying to play until we realised what we had accidentally done.
