Today, as you will almost definitely know, it’s Christmas! Last night, Christmas Eve, it took us a rather long while to get to sleep, because we were so excited about Santa coming! (Did you know that he’s still out there on his sleigh, because for some countries it’s still Christmas Eve!) We were squirming in bed and dreaming in a sort of trance about Santa coming to deliver the presents, and if he might come up into our room and see us, checking if we were asleep like good girls and boys! One time I dreamt that he came into our house, not realising that Mummy and Andy were still having dinner in the kitchen…
When William and I (we share a room, so Tilly wasn’t up yet) came downstairs at five to seven, Mummy was already down on her laptop, presents were piled up by the fireplace, our stockings full, Ellie Bear had been placed up ontop of the presents by Santa, the two cookies had been eaten, and so had the carrots, and there was a letter too! It said – actually, wait, I can’t find it – ah well, I’ll tell you something along the lines of what he said. He told me that the elves love watching me so much, to William that he’d call him in the new year, and to Tilly that she could teach the little ones what Christmas really is!
Us children opened two presents each, Andy has only opened one, though he shares it with Mummy, and Mummy has that one with Andy. William got a loom bands set from Santa and really posh pencils, I got a really, really pretty recipe book to write in my own recipes and a box with bath bombs from Tilly 🙂 Andy and Mummy got a family organiser with checkbooks and things. They were really good!
I am writing this post bit by bit, so now I have opened some more presents! I got some ‘Paint Your Own Kokeshi Dolls’ from Mummy, which are really nice and pretty. Santa got me a friendship bracelet set thing, of which I have started making. They are really pretty, too, but very hard to make! Me and Tilly opened a present for us only from Katie, and guess what it was? A tasty pizza made of candy! Santa also got me a Klutz Jack-thingy-ma-jig, and Mummy got a cool Twirly Q’s thing for me and Tilly to share xxx
Lunch was a sort of feast. It was really tasty; it had crisps; sandwiches; salad; quinoa and loads more. It was just so delicious! We had to be in the Reindeer Reign with our antlers on, or we wouldn’t be allowed into the kitchen to even get a drink of water!
Later on we opened some more presents. Santa had got me some furniture for a dolls’ house! Mummy got me and Tilly a really nice fashion thing, too, with little hangers and materials. We got plenty more, and so many, too many to list! So thank you, Santa, Mummy and Andy, Nanny Trish and Grandad Mal and all the other people! (I especially like the writing set with the diary and things from Grandad Mal and Nanny Trish!)
We get videos from the real Santa and his elves every Christmas Eve. It’s really fun and exciting wondering if you’re on the good list or not. Santa has awesome secret things he shows one of us children individually the elves sang a song to William; Santa showed Tilly an ice-gallery the elves made; and he showed me the secret room the elves make the presents in.
For dinner we had a really tasty Christmas din – I mean, Christmas Curry! It was really delicious!
