This week, one of my best friends Grace came round. She’s really nice. First we met at the swimming pool, where my friend Lillian and Tilly’s friend Katie came too. Tilly and Katie went off to play together while Lillian, Gracie, Lillian’s mum, brother, and I went off to play Mermaids. The really shallow bit that only has one inch of water where people get out was the shore. If you got too close to land, you were beached, and the chiefs (me and Gracie) would have to send out all the clan to get specific ingredients that would save the beached Mermaid. By the shore (which is what I will now call it) there are very small little circles with spa bubbles coming out of them. Not the ones you try to pop that float in the air, just like little bobs of water bellowing about in the circle. If any kind of Mermaid or Merman got beached, they would have to try to drink the bubbly water, and it would flow energy back into them, enough for them to call out for help. Then the chiefs would call for any other members of the clan to get the object that was the name of the Mermaid/Merman. For instance, Lillian’s Mermaid name was Emerald, so if she got beached, the chiefs would call for the finder, who was Amethyst, Lillian’s mum, to get some emeralds to crush and sprinkle on Emerald.
Then there were the currents. They push you round this large, deep wall, and if you stay by the side, you can feel spurts of bubbles that make you go really fast round the corners. The currents were called the Storm Lakes, where if the waves were switched on, all the members of the clan would have to go and fight their way through the Storm Lakes to get home (the entrance steps and the exit steps) to safety. You would travel through the Storm Lakes because their currents made it easier to get home. It was very fun, and we had something else to look forward to when we did get home…
