Devon – Day 2

This is my second post – my second day in Devon! We all had quassiants and pain au chocolats in the morning, and then we went across to a different beach called North Sands – it didn’t have so high a tide, but it didn’t go so steep we were able to swim in it easily. I even attempted to dunk my head in, but instead of being triumphant, I just got brainfreeze for about twenty-five minutes!

We climbed on the rocks outside the ocean’s bay, and scraped my knees a bit on the spikes..but it was still fun, and we climbed right to the outside edge, and went through the Rock Maze (just a small little thing we found dotted about the rocks). Then we dashed back across the sand and did the Seaside Shimmy, where we all try to hide beneath towels while we take off our knickers and our tops – but I like doing the Shimmy anyway.

Then we hurried down to the Tropical Islands we invented – a large series of rocky bays and harbours – and named them all. Afterwards, we went to a lovely place called Salcombe, and got some delicious ice-creams – thank you, Ruth! I had a tasty ginger one, I love ginger so much! Excited about tomorrow!
