Niamh’s Birthday Party!

It was Niamh’s birthday! We were invited to her party, and it was really great. Her parents had set up huge bouncy castles and there was loads of food to go round. Her mum, Louise, is really cool at baking cakes, and she made three (for the party was celebrating Niamh’s siblings Sienna and Tyler’s birthdays too) ginormous and most scrumptious ones! Niamh’s was an island in Hawaii. It had the most gorgeous little crystalised icing shells and flowers. It had palm trees, too, made of cake trunks and icing leaves, and the sponge itself was in the shape of an island.

Sienna’s was a beautiful ‘Frozen’ cake. It was in the shape of a large, blue-white pedestal and all the characters (made of frosting) stood on it, surrounding a giant plastic sphere with icing snow on the top of it, where Elsa stood in pride of place! Tyler had a BMX-ing cake, because of his obsession with the sport. It was a big hill with a smaller ground next to it, and Tyler’s frosting figure was shown on the top of the hill on the hind wheels of his bike. Each cake had layers of soothing and partly-melted icing in between the sponge cales. Niamh’s grandma set to work from the morning to eleven o’clock at night making 200 tiny cakes and spending yet another early-to-late day icing them the next morrow. I am very grateful – they were all delicious!

We went on the disco bouncy castle first – that was the biggest and darkest and castle. We danced around over the lights playing gleefully on the inflatable floor. Then we had a try at the other castle, which had a slide and more obstacles – but everybody on there were quite vigorous and Niamh got a bleeding tooth, so we saved that until most of the people had gone!

Lunch was really tasty too, and I had a good deal of pomegranate seeds and, mostly, Niamh’s cake!

We all danced around and played on the other activities set up (it was hilarious seeing William and some other boy pretending to be Sumo wrestlers!), and then sang the most loud and tuneful Happy Birthday song I have ever sung! There were more than fifty people who turned up, so I was still not surprised how noisy it was 😉 Let’s all sing it in memory for Niamh, Tyler, and Sienna! Are you ready now? Go!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Niamh,
Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Sienna,
Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Tyler,
Happy birthday to you!

Altogether now!
Happy birthdays to you all,
Happy birthdays to you all,
Happy birthdays to Niamh, Sienna and Tyler,
Happy birthdays to you all!

Ah! That’s better. Rightio. Where was I? Ah, yes, the leaving ceremony, aye. Goodbye! It was all very long and fun and amazing, and I’m very excited because I have yet another party! Cheers for parties! Wwhhhhoooo! Wohwooooooooooooooooowoo! Bye!

After the party it was still really hot outside, so we went to the park with Katie 🙂
