Weekly Summary #9

26 June – 2 July 2017

On Monday this week, we went swimming as usual. We concentrated mainly on butterfly stroke, but for the warm-up we did all different types of strokes, two of backstroke, two breaststroke, two front-crawl, and two dolphin. After swimming, we went to the park nearby with Seth, Matilda and Arthur, and Grace and Eve met us there. Unfortunately, I jumped off one of the high obstacles and landed smack bang! on top of a bee ๐Ÿ™ He thought he was in grave danger, which he was, or a she, I don’t know, and he stung me!! I cannot describe the PAIN!! I was crying and screaming and trying very hard to contain myself but not suceeding, and then one of the teenagers nearby came and helped me until Gracie had got my mum, and then I limped around a bit with a very painful toe :/ After the park, Grace and Eve came round for a little and then we had to make a dash for it to get to Guides, where we made some cupcakes ๐Ÿ™‚

On Tuesday, we did some work in the morning, played around a bit in the afternoon, and were going to go jogging (a new hobby we decided to start up on) with Nicola and Seth, but then it rained and wouldn’t stop, so we kind of couldn’t. We did some anime tutorials from Youtube which was fun.

On Wednesday, however, it drizzled a bit in the morning, poured a bit at two-ish, but at three-ish it stopped and only spat and showered and drizzled a tiny bit, so we decided to go jogging. We drove over to Seth, Arthur and Matilda’s house, and while Dean was at work – Tilly ‘babysat’ Arthur and Matilda – Nicola, Seth, Mummy and I jogged around their neighbourhood. Seth and I got particularly bored, so half-way through Seth ducked into the house, grabbed his scooter, and scooted the rest of the half-hour through! I wish I had had a scooter on me ๐Ÿ˜‰

On Thursday, we went to our filmmaking club! It’s really fun. They’ve got a beautiful golden labrador called Bear, and every time she’s adamant to be Mummy’s chaffeur, because whenever she comes to drop us off, she always follows her down the garden and only comes back when Mummy’s in the car! Anyway, because last week we made the characters, this week we actually animated them! The film’s going to be a stop-motion, so we’ve stop-animated some of the characters and their scenes. Let me run you through what happens:

Basically (yes, there’s more detail), there’s a caterpillar called Derek and a koala bear called Brandy. Both live on an island in the middle of the sea. Derek can only eat cake, and to help him survive on this remote island which supplies no cake, a plane goes overhead occasionally and drops cake. But Brandy is annoyed that Derek is getting so much attention; so he makes a plan with his evil seagull accomplice, Gulliver. Together they plan to steal all Derek’s cake and hide it underneath Brandy’s big rock, and then eat it overtime. That way, Derek will die! Gulliver has a twin sister, Celia, who finds out about their plan and doesn’t approve. So one day, she disguises herself as Gulliver, quite easily because obviously she is a twin, so all she has to do is get his scarf and tie it round her. Brandy tells her all the plans – and then she can go and grab the falling cake from the plane before they can, and give it all back to Derek. In the end, Gulliver flies away in guilt, and Brandy feels ashamed at what he has done and becomes a good-guy. The end.

On Friday this week, we went to our drama club. Little Matilda (that is, the sister of Seth and Arthur) came in the car with us. We made some of our solo routines there – well, Lillian and L. Matilda did their I Have A Dream solo routine, I did The Winner Takes It All, Adam and Atlanta did theirs for Lay All Your Love on Me, and so on. Tilly didn’t do her Fernando one that day. We decided to meet with Seth and Arthur and Nicola and then all go to Wrest Park, so we did. We played there for a very long time, had lunch and doughnuts there, and finally got home at about five o’clock!

On Saturday, we went for a walk in Wrest Park in the morning. Andy came too! We played round for a bit in the pavilion, and had a walk through the forest-y part. After lunch, Nanny came round, and we watched Pirates of the Caribbean and the Black Pearl with her, but at the end it got kind of creepy and even though it starred Johnny Depp I had to leave half-way through and went to write my 141-page-long story ๐Ÿ˜‰

On Sunday, Mummy woke me up at half six this morning to go jogging. William came along too. We jogged round the town and on the way back home we saw a black dashound walking round our road without an owner. We talked with Jean, our neighbour, who was walking her new Romanian streetdog, Brexit. When we got back home, I went to catch her up and ask whether she knew where the black dashound lived, and when I found her she happened to be talking to the owner, who was walking two others dashounds, a white one and a brown speckledy one. Before I could say anything, he said, ‘Have you seen a black dashound?’ And I told him he was walking round the end of our road by himself. He whistled for him and told me to hide behind the hedge in case he came bounding up to me. He said he’d run away from the big Irish wolfhound that lives nearby, Arthur, who had chased him round the road and so he had run away! He said when he’d got him back that his name was Mouse, the white one was Cloudy, and the speckledy one was Tulip. I was the Hero of the Day, finding that dashound!

Anyway, at two o’clock, we went to our friend Lucia’s ice cream garden party!! It was loads of fun! We got lots of ice cream and Lucia brought us out some cold water from the fridge because we weren ‘t allowed many fizzy drinks. We did try ice cream and cream soda though, which everyone said was nice but was actually not my favourite ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, we played on the trampoline, Tilly and Rafael played pool, and I looked after ADORABLE baby Thea with Dominique (both Chia’s sisters, and Elodie is too, and Rafe is her brother)! I cannot tell you how cute four-month-old Thea is! I just cannot! She has LOADS of brown hair in a mohican-shape! She’s so adorable! I got to hold her for ages before she started crying, and when she did Dommy had to take her back to their dad.

For Lucia’s birthday Tilly got a white card and drew a tiny picture of a cross between some lettuce and some celery, and then underneath she wrote ‘Lettuce celerybrate’ – get it? XD I drew on my yellow card two watermelon-slices holding hands, and then above them wrote ‘YOU ARE ONE’ and underneath ‘IN A MELON’ – get it? We got the ideas from Pinterest XD For her present we got her a huge book called ‘Animal‘ with all different types of animals and facts in them. Lucia loves animals ๐Ÿ™‚ It was so fun there!
