Home Ed Christmas Prom!

Yesterday we went to a home ed prom! Our friends Grace and Eve came to us at about half past five. I was wearing a hot pink silky dress with a black sash, and had some of my hair plaited at the back. Tilly diffused her hair to make it go curly and had a huge big dark purple prom dress. Gracie and Evie were wearing really pretty blue high-low circle dresses.

At half past six, we drove to Watford where the prom was. It was seven when we got there. A few people were already there, all dressed in posh suits and dresses (apart from one girl who came in her trousers). Our other friends Lillian and Nathan came, and we started a dance. Some good music (and some bad!) came on and we all danced together, spinning and pirouetting and generally falling over a lot.#

At about half past eight we had dinner – a huge portion of really yummy fish and chips! A lady called Anthea even played the harp for us while we ate! While the harp was still playing, and the dance floor was empty while people finished eating, Evie and I got up and danced by ourselves in front of everyone without a care in the world 😉

Then there was a ‘dessert buffet’! It was a little disappointing because they’d just gone to Tesco and bought some Maryland cookies and some sweets, but oh well, it was sugar and it tasted nice! We danced and danced and danced until eleven p.m., when it finished! We were then all given a present which was a lovely mug with a Christmas tree on one side and ‘Home Ed Christmas Prom’ written underneath, and on the other side a snowflake with ‘2018’ written in the middle. It was so fun and I really want to go again next year!!
