Hello again! Nothing much actually happened this week (haha), so here’s a catch-up list of all the stuff we’ve been doing over the whole of 2019 (and maybe some stuff we’re about to do, too.)

  1. Timetable—since I posted last Friday, we’ve actually kept up our timetable for the whole week! 😉
  2. Park with Eve—last Friday, shortly after I finished my post, Mummy and I went to a hilly park to meet my friend Eve and her sister Annie. We went on a walk around and saw loads of people in gliders. Something quite interesting happened too—we were all standing around chatting, when suddenly Eve’s mum cried, “Look at that parachute!” We all turned round but only Eve’s mum and I saw it. I turned just in time to see a glider’s parachute hatch close and a man with a bright red parachute come plummeting out. The interesting thing was, the parachute made no difference to his fall whatsoever. It fell down and started billowing around him, indicating that there was probably a hole in it. The man hurtled through the air at such a speed he was out of sight in two seconds.
Eve and I ran down the hill to the gate leading onto the landing field to see if he was okay. We watched as the glider turned and swooped down. We thought they must have come down to see if the parachuting man was all right, but when they landed, they took their time getting out and then started sitting around the lawn doing what looked to be having a picnic. We were astounded. Mummy asked if maybe he looked like he was going faster than he was, but Ruth and I were adamant that there was nothing slowing that fall whatsoever. It was kind of scary, but we knew that if there was something wrong they’d deal with it, so we had to go home.
  3. Singing—a couple of months ago Tilly started doing singing in the evening with Andy. On Wednesday I decided to have a go while Tilly was out, and then we did it again while she was doing her NCS award ceremony thingy last night. It’s really fun and Andy says I’m really good (which, I can’t lie, came as a bit of a surprise to me!).
