This book wasn’t my favourite, since nothing actually happened in it at all. In most of the chapters it was just sort of concentrating on one or two characters each chapter, so for instance one was about Daisy and Nan’s ball, one or two were about Nat and his violin, and so on. But nothing properly happened, and I thought it was very boring.
My favourite character was Nan – whose real name is Annie – because she is just like me! She’s more of a tom-boy and not a girly girl, and she likes running and climbing and not wondering about whether she’s got her hands muddy or not.
