Cass and Max-Earnest were very ordinary (well, they weren’t really, but I ought to say that anyhow). Cass wanted to be a survivalist, and she was always ready for anything. Max-Earnest was a sort of hopeful joker, but anyone who heard his jokes would say, ‘Haha very funny,’ and they wouldn’t actually be very funny at all.
But their adventures were dramatic, exciting, mind-gripping AND funny, very, very funny. When Cass and Max-Earnest have their doubts about seemingly nice Dr. L and Ms Mavais, they tumble into a strange journey based around dead Pietro Bergamo and his missing brother.
