This first-person book describes a young man as he crashed his military plane into the desert. He was awoken by a little voice, which said – ‘If you please, draw me a sheep.’ Not much is learned from the little prince as he embarks on his intriguing adventures with the young man. This book shows a child and a grown-up, and their differences; how strange and odd a grown-up is, and how understanding a child is; as though they have entirely different personalities in the same mind that grew up. At the beginning of the book, it shows how the young man, now a small boy at the age of seven, drew a line with a hump in it, saying that it was a boa constrictor containing an elephant. I understood the drawing perfectly. The grown-ups, however, exclaimed that it was a hat. When the young man met the little prince, he asked him what he saw in the picture. “A boa constrictor containing an elephant,” said the boy casually. This book has an interesting, brilliant and confusing plot.
