This text guide is brilliant to understand the Shakespearean play Macbeth, with handy notes down the side of each scene and act to help you know all the little twists and turns through this young lord’s life of cruelty and bravery. With questions at the end of each scene to help you recap, and a funny comic at the end, this edition is great to let you read easily through the play.
I have known a long time about this fantastic play, though this guide helped me to pick out all the tiny details from Shakespeare’s language and techniques. It has inspired me to write many stories, and all I have heard from others is ‘It’s an awful play’ and ‘It’s a brilliant play’. Unsure of what to think, I got my mum to read me and my sister this book, and found that those who said it was great were true.
The play itself is very hard, but this book, to shorten words, guides you through it swiftly. It was great and really easy to understand; I felt quite sudden about the characters, and I have learnt many poems from the play, such as ‘Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow’ off by heart. Without this guide, I do believe the play would be as reading ‘Conort rheetwee sukuy’ over and over, though far more good than that! It was really fun and every day I was excited to see what happened in the next act.
