Monday
I woke up this morning feeling a bit ill – I hope I’m not coming down with something! I also hope it isn’t covid. That would be quite ironic, having just come back from an anti-covid-vaccine protest.
I did some biology, Latin, history reading and instrument practice today. In Latin – which I may have mentioned before on this blog – I’m studying the letters which Pliny and Emperor Trajan sent to each other in Roman times. It’s really fascinating to translate and write out the words that the emperor of Rome once wrote many thousands of years ago!
Tuesday & Wednesday
I woke up on both these mornings feeling really, really awful 😣 Luckily it’s not coronavirus. I spent each morning sleeping and watching TV, and did pretty much the same thing across the afternoons too!
Thursday & Christmas Eve
I felt the worst on Thursday. I got up late and then sat on the study floor reading while Tilly worked in there! Then, in the afternoon, I just did my instruments and some more history reading before finishing off the day with Criminal Minds and hot chocolate.
My new favourite Criminal Minds quote:
Killer [holding his living victim’s little finger]: This little piggy…
[chopping it off]: Oh, it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere, does it?
