These are the things I've been doing in 3 weeks. I'm going to put a photo on each one so you can see it properly!
Forest School – On Thursday, we went to forest school. We first did a game called 'the happy bag.' The happy bag was when they placed a bag in the middle of the foresty circle and the leaders would pick a person to start off with. That person would say: I went to forest school and I bought with me to put in the happy bag..(anything really!) And it would go on and on till the begining again, but all the people had to remember completely everything and they had to do it all in order! Next, we got leaded by the leaders to a small forest folk couple who were very poor and weak. So, we made some houses and things and me and my friend Sam made a play ground and I even made my own mushy mushroom trampoline! Everyone else made dens and they tied twigs and leafs together with some string, apart from Tilly, who made a forest folk mini mushroom floor house! After that, we made our selves forest folks! We got a few twigs and made the end pointy with a knife, and then we scratched a bit off for the face and after that we painted the hat and chopped the mini folk with some loppers to a normal forest folk size.
Science Museum trip – On Saturday, I went to a Beaver trip. We went to london on the coach. It took us 2 whole hours. I was sitting next to a girl called Stella and we got out my note book and pen and we wrote what our family's were like and what our names were and stuff. When we got there, we waited for the other group on the wall eating their lunch to finish, and then we all split up into groups of Amanda and other leaders. When we got in, we first went into a sciencey play area and learnt about how sand seperates and exsperaments, and we even got soacking wet with water on a rocket show! Then, after that lot, I think we went and did another rocket show. This one, it told us how to turn a empty pringles box into a rocket! And, some of the ordience came onto stage and they sat in two chairs one in front of the other and the one closest to the back bit of the black curtainy bit would say, "123!" and after 3 they would push really hard with their feet onto the chair in front and their chair would go ZOOM! ZOOM! backwards and the other chair would go ZOOM! ZOOM! forwards. Then we had lunch. After lunch we went back to the playarea again and there were orange magnetic bricks that were really low in strength and they made a bridge that if a polar bear went on top of it, it still wouldn't fall down!! I walked over it and not a single brick fell! Then, we went in the gift shop. Everyone had 5 or 10 pounds to spend, but I didn't have a single penny or 2!
Dolphin lapbook – You can see pictures of it here.
Grass-head man – At Beavers I made a real – grass head man. It comes out with real grass. If you want to try it, it tells you how to here:
Ingredients: 1. grass seeds 2. sawdust 3. tights 4. a very good at making knots person!
What to do with the grass seeds: Get the tights and cut one leg off. Then, put in at least qaouter of a litre of grass seeds. Maybe put half if you want!
What to do with the sawdust: Get the one legged tights with the grass seeds in it and put at least 2 and a half letres of sawdust in. If you want, put maybe a touch less in!
What to do with the good at tieing knots person: Wait till the grass head is big and fat with sawdust then get the person to tie a knot where the grass head stops and then put the end of the tights into a glass or dish full of waterand then in 6 and a half days or so it will look like this!:
Update: I gave Mr Grass Head man a new hairstile with the scissors and a comb! His hair was getting rather long!
William's and Mummy's birthdays – 1. First stop, William's birthday….. We're here now! Hurry up! We had a disco on William's Birthday with glow sticks and we even had a glowy glowing glows alot disco ball! I once went out and bought him a joke book for 10p. Tilly bought him some TV orangey match makers, though I think they cost £1.50 or £2.25! Me, Tilly and Mummy made the cake and Andy put on the most beutifull pattern of a red tree! When his Mum came, she bought with her a silver balloon that said in blue and red stripy letters, 'BirThDAy BoY' excatly like that written on it. I think the best present was Magnetic putty. It had some gooey stuff in it and had a tiny wincy miny ginny yinny magnet in it and the putty always stuck to it! He got a map of the world beach ball though, too.
