A very hectic week: classical concert, having our grandma round and more

This past week has been a very busy one. Today, Nanny went home after staying with us for a few days. We drove down to her house last Friday because we had the dentist there, then on Saturday we went out shopping for the day, and on Sunday we went to a classical concert. (More on all this in just a second…)

So on Saturday, we drove to my stepdad’s place which is very near where Nanny lives, picked up William, and went out to do some shopping. My mum left us three children to spend some together in the shopping centre which we really enjoyed. It’s lovely to get to catch up with William now and again. Us three get on very well. I think most siblings annoy each other but we’re all best friends!

For lunch we went to Ask Italian and got three massive delicious pizzas to share between us. We also went to Costa Coffee, my absolute favouritest place to be.

I stayed the night at Andy’s with William on Saturday, and Andy dropped me off at nanny’s on Sunday. Soon after my mum, Tilly and I set off this concert thing, but first we got Zizzi for lunch (we’ve been eating out a lot lately to use up our Tesco vouchers!). I got a scrumptious pizza, a new addition to their menu, which had chorizo and potato on it and was so delicious.

After Zizzi at about 4pm, we went to the park to see our friends for the classical music concert. There were performances from opera singers, orchestras and then later in the evening once the sun had gone down, there was a laser show and fireworks. I always forget how much I love firework shows until I’m there! I don’t know why but I always feel so alive and amazing standing in the dark in a big crowd watching these beautiful lights go off in the night sky.

We got back quite late on Sunday night. On Monday we set off back to our house and, as I said, took nanny back with us so she could stay for a days. We have had a lovely few days (and we’ll be going back to the concert next year and every year after that – I absolutely loved it!). Now things are quieting down again and I will be getting on with my work again tomorrow.
