A few days ago, I received the results from my English lit, English lang and maths GCSEs.
In order to study maths A Level at my chosen sixth form, I needed an 8 in the GCSE. I was really worried that I wouldn’t get it, especially considering that a literal fight broke out in the room adjacent to my own which was very disruptive! But I was delighted to find that I did get my 8, and 2 frustrating marks off a 9!
I was most worried about my English literature grade. I only need a 6 to study the A Level but I was genuinely worried that I wouldn’t reach that! I remember coming out the second exam almost in tears because I thought I’d done so badly. But my fears were totally unfounded. I got 96% across both exams! Needless to say, that’s a 9!
Finally, I got 84% in English language, also putting me at a 9. I was very happy with these results overall, but I must say I was a bit disappointed about the 84% mark 😂
So this puts me in the perfect position to study the A Levels I originally chose – English literature, politics, maths and Latin 😊 I’m so excited, and also a bit terrified!
