The Big Brownie Sleepover

Today (well, yesterday it started) it was Big Brownie Sleepover day. When we got there it was half-past six, and we played some games till about half-past ten, a lllooonnnggg time. First was ‘Touch, Smell, Taste, See and Hear’. Me and my Brownie Friend Caitlin trotted over there with Squirrel, our Brownie Leader. We took a sheet of paper and a pen, and did Taste first. And whether or not the liquids were green, blue…all multi-coloured colour, they were all fizzy fanta! The rest were rather fun too.

Then it was Cake Time. We got a plain digestive biscuit and a cock-tail stick. We smeared the cock-tail stick full of white icing and and got a jelly-baby. (You know what they are? Good.) I put the icing on the bottom of the jelly-baby and stuck him on the biscuit. Then we got a pastey-icing thing in the shape of a cube, rolled it out with a rolling pin. Then we stuck on the jellly-baby for a cover – he was then on a Biscuit Bed! 🙂

Then we made a necklace with clay and ribbon and the end of a biro pen. You get a cube of clay, squidge it into a ball and press it hard into a table to make a flat square. Then press your thumb REALLY REALLY HARD AND DEEP into the bit of clay. Make a hole at the top of the pendant and thread the ribbon through. Leave to dry till next morning. (Then you have to paint it in swirly patterns.)

Then we had pizza and a swirly slice of cake with ice-cream in the middle and chocolate round the edge 😛 It was very nice. And, I was hoping for hot chocolate but no, boring old squash instead.

Then we went to bed and I only just got to sleep at half-past one in the morning! And, for the sake of doing it they woke us up at quarter past six in the morning by putting loud music on! :O :O :O :O :O I couldn’t get to sleep because all the brownies around me weren’t playing ‘Go To Sleep’ they were chatting at the top of their voices, and some of them (actually about 3) were playing Loom Bands in the middle of the night and one of them flinged one at me and said, “oops…Chloe, I just flinged one at that little girl…sorry!” And Chloe sat up, very quietly, and whispered. “Pplleeaassee don’t tell! We’ll be done for if you do, so please!!” And in the morning I bloody well did and they were done for alright!

I usually have a fry-up in the morning at camps and sleepovers and things, so I was expecting one here. But, no, Squirrel and Barny and Swan and Signet, Swan’s friend, thought a brunch bar with an apple stuffed in SOMEBODY ELSE’S bag would do us good 🙁 Then I thought, I’ll prefere trying to skip breakfast, and I went over to the DO WHAT YOU LIKE, WHENEVER, WHATEVER, GRAFITI TABLE and then, to my surprise, Squirrel came over and said, “Clara says you skipped your breakfast and looked at it disgustingly as if you hated it. Then apperently you jeered at her because she couldn’t blow up a cushion. Clara is Caitlin’s school friend, and now that she has heard she does not want to sleep next to you and she doesn’t like you. I want you to say the word.” Which isn’t true, I just made that up… :/

In the morning we played a few games outside in the field. Me, Giselle and Caitlin were just playing this play-wrestle thing when Giselle punched me right in the face and made my lip bleed!!! :O So, now either of us are friends any more…:( Then we carried on playing. We ran to grown-ups, and I won, we played stuck in the mud and I won, we played sleeping lions and I won! Then Mummy came to get me 😉
