Hello! My name is Lavinia and now I’m ten! I live in England, just a bit north of London, with my mum, my step-dad, my step-brother (half the time), and my sister, who I draw with and play with all the time. Nanny lives nearby and I love seeing her. My cousin Sebby lives nearby and he’s the cutest little two-year-old ever!
I have loved writing stories since I was really small. I love grammar and I get very annoyed when somebody uses the wrong punctuation or something – and even more so when famous shops or adverts do it! I have a whole writing app called Google Drive filled with stories, spreadsheets, slideshows, documents, and sometimes I even write my friends and family little worksheets, mainly about English! I also like to write lists, so I’m going to give you a small list of some of the songs I like to listen to:
- Livin’ On A Prayer – Bon Jovi
- The Logical Song – Supertramp
- Colours – Grouplove
- Liberty Song – The Levellers
- There is a Light That Never Goes out – The Smiths
- Amadeus – Falco
- Roar – Fear Factory
- Here I Come – Barrington Levi
- Killing Me Softly – Roberta Flack
- 9 to 5 – Dolly Parton
- Sweet Child o’ Mine – Guns ‘n’ Roses
- Dreaming of You – The Coral
- Grace Kelly – Mika
- The Boxer – Simon and Garfunkel
The main thing I’m sure you’d like to know about me is that I’m home-educated – I don’t go to school! Neither does my sister Matilda, who is thirteen, and whose website you can go to if you click on her name. Anyway – I go to lots of home-educated clubs and things, like swimming lessons, and I also go to Guides with my sister, and a monthly book club meeting. I also go to a club about half an hour away, though some days we can’t go, and others we just feel like lounging around on the sofa, or maybe going to a stately home or something. Wrest Park is one we go to quite often, and it’s really fun. Sometimes they have events or something going on, and they also have a playground outside Wrest’s mansion house. I love meeting up with my friends for hours, maybe in the park on even going on holiday with them, which we’ve done a few times. I also love playing with my sister Matilda and we love to go in the park and re-enact the Japanese Ninja Warrior (Sasuke)!
Another one of my hobbies is drawing, though I only started it late last year. I got a canvas sketch book for Christmas, where, on the front, you can paint it yourself. I’m currently drawing Manga (Japanese cartoons, kind of the same as anime) people, but I also like to draw the proportion scales of the people and draw them how they would usually look. I have a bullet journal, though I call it a BuJo! In my BuJo I write and doodle and make things all aligned and pretty! BuJos overlook the year mainly, so I have things like a weekly log, a daily spread, a yearly overview, and that sort of thing.
So that’s all about me!
Goodbye for now!
