Hello! I’m Lavinia, and I’m eight years old. I live with my mummy, my stepdad Andy and my sister and for half of the time with my stepbrother William. I say ‘half of the time’ as William only comes for a week and then he goes back to his mum’s. This is because Andy is his dad, and he wants to see him every other week. And that is how it goes.
Of course, like most people do (even if they’re eight), I have cuddly toys. The other day I went to a Christmas party and won a cuddly toy bear, whom I’ve named Mittens. So, I have Mittens as my ‘day-time’ bear and Ben, the bear I’ve had since I was born, as my ‘night-time’ bear. I also have a bear toy called Midnight, who’s black, and he’s just a bear who I put next to my bed, and don’t use him too much.
I, in my opinion, am very clever, bright and enthusiastic. Mainly I’m a fan of writing, like writing stories (especially on Google Drive on Mummy’s computer) but I also like drawing. I would, mostly, prefer to write a story, but once I’m convinced by my older sister Matilda (who loves drawing) about all the things that I could draw, I probably would. Sometimes she makes me promise I’ll do it when I’m not thinking straight, so I say “yes”, but then again, once I’m properly doing it, I quite like it. I’ve drawn many pictures (compared to the maybe three pictures I did before ‘six-year-old-hood’) until when for two years I was completely BOUND to draw something once I’m reminded. But my stories – they’re so long you’d probably not bother to read them – are great. And you know what? I’m home-educated, which means that I don’t go to school, and it’s so much fun! If you want to be home-educated yourself, you need to pursuade your mother/father/guardian, and say that you can learn lots of things like me without going to school 😉
The thing I like doing most in the entire world is playing with my sister and my friends 🙂
