Today we went to an Alice in Wonderland party. I dressed up as much as I could like Alice – for a start, I’m white, and I have blonde hair. I also have a nice blue wedding dress and a patterened net over it to make it look like white and blue patterns, so I used that, then the closest shoes I had to black were red, and I couldn’t find a black hairband. Does Alice have waves? I assumed she had a change of hair, so I took out a short plait and made my hair wavy. We dropped William off at school on the way there, so that meant we were about 2 hours early, so I read Alice in Wonderland on Mummy’s phone while we waited for it to open (I didn’t finish it, though).
There were very nice people there; the cooks, the Craft Helpers and everyone else. Katie had come and brought along her little friend Summer. Katie and Summer were really interested in this man that came and introduced us to the World of Bubbles – he made huge ones, little ones, extra mini ones and ones that go around you. One man came on to the stage to get one around him, and Mr Bubble put bubbly stuff all over his face – sticking out his ears, coming out of his mouth and nose, and little tusky-looking things bobbing out of his chin! He was an elephant!
We played a game which was like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but was Pin the Smile on the Cheshire Cat. I was really good at it, and won a tiara and wand! Unfortunately, it broke, so my step-dad had to glue it on!
There was also a bouncy castle slide that Tilly, Sadie, Summer, Katie and I went on, and probably everyone went on it anyway, so there was no point in saying that. Anyway. There’s a narrow, inflatable ladder and a big wide slide going down when you go up the ladder and turn left. We jumped at the top and then ended up flying down all over the place. I rolled down once, accidentally burning my arms and back and probably scratching my net up and down the huge, inflatable slide! I also jumped at the top, and as when you get to the very top of the ladder there’s a big sheet above you, I banged my head on it, and it sent me boinging around on the spot, and when finally the sheet ended, I sprang up into the air and landed with my arms tucked over my legs and head beneath my knees at the bottom!
There was a huge table full of sandwiches and crisps, a counter full of cake, biscuits and delicious juice, and huge plates and cups stacked up in long, everlasting rows. The food was really nice and tasty, and they even handed out strawberry tarts with custard in the middle! 😛
