We went to buglab. We had like a magnaflining glass, you find the bugs and you put it in the magnaflining box and you close the lid and see the insect moving around. Our friend came too.

Does this look like a bee? Yesss. Is it a bee? Nooo. It is… a hoverfly! A expert helped catch it. You can see it is a fly because it has two wings and a bee has four wings.

It has a stripy coat to disguise itself as a bee so that other insects or bugs or whatever don't eat it.

I was on William's team. We found a parasitic wasp, it looks like a scorpian fly but no. It lays his eggs in a beetle or a caterpillar or something and they hatch inside the host and eat it to get out!

This a Large White butterfly. we know it is a female because it has two spots on each wing.

We made peg butterflies too.

And we then went to the park. It a really, really fun curly slide mummy even told me how to make it go faster!
