Tilly is on a sleepover with our friend for four nights, so only me and Mummy went to Center Parks. Auntie Beci, Uncle Chris and little Sebby were on a holiday there, so we met them too, and because of them we got in for free. I went yesterday and today, and we’re going back on Friday and maybe Thursday, tomorrow. But really, we don’t want to spend all the time on their holiday!
There aren’t many benches there in the shade with any parasols or anything, which was rather annoying, but they had a great swimming pool with millions of slides and rides and fun things. There were lots and lots of slides, in fact: Twister, Tornado and Typhoon, and many other ones for toddlers and babies. I went on Twister and Tornado and Typhoon, and some of the little ones. Tornado was my favourite one. Don’t read this unless you want to know the surprise. Well, Tornado is a bit like Typhoon, until the surprise comes along. Typhoon is a scary, spinny sort of ride, and Tornado starts off like that, but the surprise is after that. This bit is the proper bit where you must not read unless you don’t want a surprise. The whole inflatable cart you’re in drops in a water-filled air tube, where at the end of the drop you go spinning round up and down the sides of the scary tube, and after you’ve screamed your head off, there’s the exit – and you can’t get out because you don’t have a head.
I made some friends there named Amelia and Isabelle. Isabelle was twelve, but I’m not sure how old Amelia was – she looked about eight or nine, round about my age. Me, Mummy, Amelia and Isabelle went on the rides together, as it’s much more fast and fun and scary when you have more than one person. After that, as Sebby didn’t like the swimming pool, Chris and him had left while we swam. So, Mummy and Beci went on a cart and me and Amelia and Isabelle went on our own cart.
There were plenty of other things too. Like I said, Tornado was my favourite, but second to The Rapids. You go in a big pool and over a speed-bump like thing, where once you are over them you get thrashed around in the water. Even when your toes bang against the white wall, it doesn’t hurt at all, as you’re in warm water. I slid around like a penguin on my stomach when it came to the shallow bit. I’m afraid babies aren’t allowed in unless they’re champions at swimming, as it is shallow when you’re being thrown around, but at times there are sudden deep bits – so be careful!
Yesterday we went to Center Parks too, so we went to the swimming pool and had a medium-length bike ride. It was fun too, but we didn’t go in as long in that amazing swimming pool! Nanny came with us, and we spent loads of time on the beach as it was very sunny and it cooled my feet down when I stood in the lake.
Mummy said that I could have a go on the giant zipwire, but unfortunately you had to do Tree-Trekking with it, which is like the High Ropes, only scarier! Even so, I stayed in the swimming pool for longer than Mummy was planning!
