Chelsea buns

While Tilly went for a sleepover at Elise’s house, me and Mummy decided to make some Chelsea Buns. Like the recipe? Have it:

By the way, we cheated by using our bread-machine to make the dough, but don’t worry if you don’t have one, you can make the dough by hand: look in a recipe book for instructions, not me!

Take the dough out of the bread-machine once it has beeped, and punch it and roll it and move it about a lot.

Then roll it out with a rolling pin like me!

Spread over the top of the dough brown sugar, mixed spice and sultanas.

Roll it up like a rap and cut it into slices.

Leave it somewhere warm for half an hour and wait till they get bigger. Then put them in the oven for about 15 mins.

When they’re lovely and golden and brown, drizzle the icing on top. If you want (you can do what I did) you can lick th icing that has fallen off the Chelsea Buns and see how nice it is!

Then it’s…EATING TIME! “This is better then I thought…” I mumble.
