Chessington World of Adventures

Yesterday, Mummy drove me and Tilly (and this time even Andy) down to the petrol station and then some super-market thing, where we met our friend Sadie, as she was being dropped off by her dad for a sleepover and a fun day out with us. The fun day out was Chessington World of Adventures, and we went on lots of fun rides. First we went on a big pirate ship which swung you up to the sky (if you’ve been on the in Legoland, you’re brave, but it is still not as high up as this one). It gave you that funny feeling in your tummy when you go downwards, and then you have to put your arms in the air and scream and laugh as loud as you can, so that everyone can see how excited you are and they might even put it up further! (If you look closely you can see us with us our arms up at the very back.)

The Vampire was quite close to the big pirate ship, as we could see the bright orange track. We ran off to the entrance, and queued for about twenty minutes until we came to the gate. I forgot to tell you, because of the accident of Smiler, many of those kind of rides closed down, like Dragon’s Fury, or Rattle Snake, or whatever, so the people who would be queuing for Dragon’s Fury would be queuing for Vampire instead. So the queue was rather long. Then when we got inside, we had to queue for another ten minutes and finally we had the big holdy-in thing and were grinning in our seats from head to toe. Two minutes later, the ride took off and we were zooming around as fast as thunder, through the market hall and round the whole outline of the theme park. It was a bit like one of those trains that take you everywhere really slowly, but instead with no track below you, your feet dangling and super, super fast.

We kept going on these two rides and so on. When we came back onto the pirate ship, we suddenly saw people on Dragon’s Fury, and knew it must have re-opened. Quickly after we got off the pirate ship we ran and queued for only two minutes, before we in a cart quick and sharp. The first time I went by myself while Tilly and Sadie went on together. I got to go on backwards, so when we went up the hill, I didn’t know what was happening until I popped my hands up in the air and set off spinning all round the track, screaming as loud as I could. It was great.

We met my friend Caitlin and her sisters, and I went on the Log Flume with her. We were sat in a cart and sent down a hill in water so we got splashed. Then I went on the Ferris Wheel with her, and then the Kobra. That was a cool, spinny ride that sent you flying!

We went in a haunted house too..

…and on Seastorm…and other cool things I can’t remember! Andy’s favourite ride was Tomb-Blaster where you have to shoot the targets in a boat with laser guns. Mine was either Vampire or Dragon’s Fury.
