Christmas at Daddy’s house!!

We spent this Christmas at Daddy’s house! Daddy came to pick us up on the 21st and we went home on the 28th. We have three half-siblings: Jago, who’s five, Ambrose, who’s three, and Willow, who has just turned one! (We’ve actually just been informed that Willow is walking now and will refuse to crawl anywhere – she won’t even sit down!)

Daddy, Tilly and I all played Risk until nine o’clock at night while all the little ones were in bed! Then we got all the huge bags of presents from upstairs and put them out under the Christmas tree – there were loads, especially since all Daddy’s and Kerry’s friends had bought some for everyone too!

Daddy blew up an air bed in the little ones’ room for me and Tilly. We slept there soundly and woke up in the morning to find Jago saying somewhat forlornly, “I didn’t hear Santa’s bells.” We went downstairs and showed him the empty foil cup the mince pie was in and the empty mug of milk and then he said, “But where are the crumbs?” Then I read him and Ambrose an A4 letter from Santa which I had spent hours doing, and he finally believed us! We then opened our presents in one big present-opening-frenzy! I got:

  • A really pretty black sequiny jumpsuit from Rita and Rob!
  • A William Mitchell calligraphy set with three different fountain pens, a manual, and loads of colour cartridges from Daddy and Kerry!
  • Loads of calligraphy practice paper from Daddy and Kerry to go with my calligraphy kit!
  • A Harry Potter travel mug flask thing from Daddy and Kerry!
  • A Miss Roxie body care kit from Daddy and Kerry!
  • A lovely, fluffy, soft Christmas-patterned blanket from Daddy and Kerry!
  • Lots of chocolate from everyone!
  • And a really pretty necklace with a heart charm saying ‘middle sis’ and a crescent moon saying ‘I love you to the moon and back’. Tilly has a ‘big sis’ one and Willow has a ‘little sis’ one for when she’s older! (From Daddy and Kerry!)
  • Some money from Nanny Kay in Cornwall!
  • And a box of Twisted Tales books as a birthday present from Daddy and Kerri!

It was loads of fun! Opening our presents and having a huge traditional Christmas dinner was amazing, and the looks on the boys’ faces (especially little Ambrose’s!) when they actually, properly realised what Christmas is, was so funny! 😉
