In the library where I live I go there about every week. Every time, I say to Mummy, “can I please go on the library children’s computer?” because I love doing stories on Google Drive and Microscoft Word, but it doesn’t work on the library computer! I have a complaint from this. Once I did a lovely long story on Word and it didn’t save – gone it was. And Google Drive doesn’t work…I tried it now and last week and it didn’t work. I want it to be fixed right now, in fact! When we looked on it it said:
“You are using an unsupported browser. Update now to a modern browser like Google Chrome!”
I and Mummy think that the money that they get to sort out the computer system should mean that they can make Google work. And they should already have a modern browser! :O
My other complaint is this. The other day I said to the lady,
“Excuse me, could I get a book out called Kind Little Edmund by Edith Nesbit please? I repeat – could I get out a book called Kind Little Edmund by Edith Nesbit please?”
“Edeth Nezbit” the lady typed in. “There’s no such author, you must’ve got it wrong.”
Edith Nesbit is an extremely famous author who wrote famous books such as: The Railway Children, an extremely famous book and also: Five Children and It. She also wrote: Pussy and Doggy Tales amongst lots of others. So I was expecting that a librarian lady should know this absolutely famous author and obviously know how to spell her name! And even if she hadn’t heard of her she should know how to spell Edith or Nesbit. I’m seven and I can spell it and she was about 50! And she was grumpy especially for a librarian – in fact, lots of people in this library are very grumpy.
Because I’m only a seven-year-old girl and an adult told me I got it wrong, I thought that I probably did get it wrong. But Mummy said that I had it right and the lady was wrong – she needs a spelling test!
But at least the books are good and they’ve got nice cosy chairs and you know what? Mummy thinks they should have a coffee machine and I think a cold water one too!
