A couple of weeks ago my Saturday drama club, which I joined a few months ago, started back up after summer break. Last week, as it was the first session back, we were just doing drama-related games and mini performances for each other to get back into the swing of things. Today we were focussing on verbatim acting, which is a form of theatre where the script is based on the words of real people, usually gathered from interviews. So we were split into groups and asked to interview each other, record the answers, and then enact the recording from a different group.

I’ve really enjoyed this drama club so far, as it’s more like proper acting lessons focussing on different techniques each week rather than playing silly games like a lot of drama groups seem to be. It is quite an expensive club but hopefully I can keep attending for a while yet!
