Yesterday, Caitlin came round for a sleepover. She’s gone now, though. Anyway, that day (which was the day before Halloween), we had a Halloween Disco. Caitlin had a devil costume so she dressed up as a devil. I had a witch costume, but I want to be a vampire this Halloween, so I had a witch costume and some vampiry face paint (a pale face, bright red face paint on my lips and face paint as blood coming down from my mouth).
We had to win competitions like the best boy and girl dancer (that came on as a competition a lot), two boys V.S. girls ones…and I can’t remember the others! I requested ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ for a song by Queen, and when it came on everyone was jumping around fifty times as much as they were before! I won one competition which I think was ‘the best jumping with your arms in the air’ competition. I had a packet of maltesers and a certificate. Whoo!
For our special ‘packed lunch’ they gave us we had a cheese roll, a drink thing, a pack of maltesers (again), an orange, a mini corna yoghurt and I think that was all.
I REALLY HAD A FUN TIME!
Me and Caitlin made a Victoria sponge cake. We put in (as usual) flour, butter, eggs, vanilla, sugar and baking powder. Then we put jam in between the cakes so that it was jammy in the middle. Then we went to the Halloween disco and came back to ice it in a Halloween style.
And that’s what we call a Halloween style! A Gloop Monster and loads of chocolate beans and sprinkles as ground and a marshmallow moon. Do you like it? Well, we thought that it was delicious. My favourite part was the lemony icing with the little sweeties on top. Andy put on a fire-lighter thing that was like a small fire-work, and before I was wondering why we needed to stand about a metre away – but now I’m not!
