Irresistible Ice-Skating

This week is probably the most busiest in my life, and we started it off with irresistible ice-skating.

At first, I was rather nervous and scared (I’ve been ice-skating before, but even then, I was still nervous and scared) and I kept saying, “Here goes nothing,” and falling over and over. Taryn was there too, and she helped me with expert-skating. Also, we (I say ‘we’ by me and Taryn) played this game where you had to try and get to this particular part on the ice first. Taryn kept winning, so evantually I gave up trying.

Like last time, when I came to the ice I felt very weird, and I had to try and step on without slipping over and cracking my head open on the floor. Yeah, that wouldn’t be the best idea in the world. I was basically having to crouch as low as possible with hurting my legs (my ice-skates were very long and it was hard to bend my legs) and then having to hold on to the inch-big side without slipping over. In other words: It was scary and very hard to get on to the ice-rink.

And then I suddenly remembered how to ice-skate, and gradually I began to get better at it and closer to the middle of the rink. After I’d got on, I was clinging on to the side for dear life, but then I started to whizz off and began to glide – glide, and twizzle, and glide, and turn…

And I’ll tell you what I’ll be up to tomorrow!
