A little catch-up…

I apologise for having not been able to write on my website recently, and I have decided to write a little update of all the things I’ve been doing for you to read.

Number One: Jogging!

Mummy and I have started up a new hobby. We jog every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning, and go for “morning walks” in between (so on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday we walk). We’ve been doing a jogging routine app called Couch to 5K, and this morning (Monday, Week 5) we’ve just got home from running twenty whole minutes in one go!

Number Two: Ghana!

Tilly is travelling to Ghana in Africa with the Girlguides this summer! She’s raising funds (she has to raise just over £2000, I believe) and we’ve been doing sponsorship (we both swam one kilometre, or 40 lengths), barbeques, cake sales, and more. She has to have loads of jabs and injections, as well as medication on malaria, typhus, yellow fever and things like that. While she’s gone, Mummy and I are going to be doing a “2 for 20” thing at the Leisure Centre, where we can use the gym, the swimming pool, and more. It’s very exciting!

Number Three: Drama Queen!

Tilly, William and I have been auditioning like crazy! The first one (William was at his mum’s, so he couldn’t come) was for The Wizard of Oz with RareProductions. We were sent a letter a few days later having a chorus part each, but in case we get a better part in the next one, we decided to wait to report back to them and go to another one (this time with William). Also RareProductions, this one was for Footloose. In tWoO, we had to sing a few lines of Somewhere Over the Rainbow (as solos), dance to a song in the film, and read out a part (I read Dorothy’s lines). In Footloose, I read out Wendy Jo’s lines (“I’ll have a hula burger double cheese melt with bacon and extra mayo, with an order of large—that’s large!—fries. Oh and a diet Coke”), sang the chorus verse of Footloose, and did an extremely complicated dance to it too! Our letter should come soon…

Number Four: Bank Account!

Today I received my Barclays debit card! I had to go up to the bank and sit with the lady in the office to open my bank account. I’ve got to wait another two or three days to receive my PIN number (and I can go on their website to customise my card by putting a photo on it, so it’s not just plain old blue Barclays!). It’s all very exciting! XD I’ve been spending a lot of my money on nail varnish recently, and I’m going to be spending a lot more when I get my PIN!
