This blog has been something I’ve written on pretty consistently since I was five years old, and it’s amazing for two reasons: one, I get to look back on the things I wrote at thirteen, ten, five, and wonder on earth I was thinking (or rather, not have to wonder!); and two, I think this is just the sort of thing all these wonderful universities I have in mind will want to see if I apply.
But there’s only so much excitement and wonder I can capture in the odd blog post. I’ve been wondering recently whether starting a YouTube vlog channel might be a good idea. Or actually, I sort of decided weeks ago that it would be, and have already been planning out videos and looking at equipment I might need, etc.
OK maybe I actually filmed my first video already. But it was on my phone as opposed to a camera, which I thought would be fine, but was actually super rubbish quality. Since then I’ve been researching the best cameras (and was shocked to find that these things are all about 600 quid at best?!), and I think it will take me a good few months, if ever, to have everything all planned out and be ready to start a channel and for it to be actually good.
Hopefully this is something I’ll look back on in a few years time, having posted loads of videos and had great fun with it, and not be thinking Oh, how funny of me to think I would ever go ahead with that!
