On the 13th of December, it was my birthday. As it was my birthday, it was a hard choice for breakfast, but in the end I chose pain au chocolat. I wanted to have a corn (fake mince) Shepherd’s pie for dinner, but Andy doesn’t really like corn, so we had a ‘birthday spread’ with pizza, salad, humous, crisps and stuff.
I got a lot of presents: a headband and hairstyles making kit, and this Zelf-thing from Katie – quite hard to explain. It’s like an elf-toy thing, but with multi-coloured hair and stickers and pens so that you can stick and draw on it. I made a Garden Princess, whom I’ve named Azula. Oh, have you seen Avatar – The Last Airbender? The series or the film? If you have, then I named my Zelf after Princess Azula, the Lord of Fire’s daughter. If you haven’t, there’s this Azula-person thing – it doesn’t matter. Never mind.
Anyway, I also got a DS, which is a cool computer thing where you can play games on it and things. When I clicked on this message bit, my own DS had a Happy Birthday message on it – all for me! It said something along the lines of ‘I see it is your birthday today, Lavinia. I hope you have a wonderful day!’!
I also got a Sequin-Art wolf ***ASTERIXES***. After I’ve written this post and checked it through, I can make it! I’m SOO outlined (I made that word up in this meaning – here it means ‘excited’).
In other words, I got loads of presents. Moving on to the park.
We went to the park too (have I mentioned Nanny came to the Indoor Party? I just remembered that) and Andy came and pushed us really high on the swings – as high as the Sky and Outer Space high. I just made up a little poem there. You like it? As high as the Sky and Outer Space high…what next?
I also got some cool clay. I’m really excited to make an animal or something out of it. And Auntie Beci got me a really pretty butterfly necklace – which happened to go with my dress at the time!
You know I’m a citrussy girl? Well, Tilly got me A LOT (a lot as in twelve) limes. She made me a lime treasure hunt, hung one up on the ceilng and Mummy used two in my birthday Olaf cake. I love limes SO MUCH that I have at least one slice of lime every single day. By itself, too – I’m not kidding, nor am I joking 😉 Limes is me, my heart, my home, my life! I am made of citruss, limes, oranges, lemons, apples – sugar and spice and all things nice.
My Olaf cake was really cool, with lime zest inside and lime icing. I REALLY LIKE THE LIMEY TASTE AND THE SPONGY SMELL TOO. Andy made delicious icing-tasting Olaf and Mummy made the cake, the icing and the ‘Lavinia is 8!’ writing.
Nanny got me an ice-cream maker (a great pleasure) and an ice-cream making book (more of a pleasure). Unfortunately, the ice-cream maker bowl didn’t fit in our freezer, so we need to put it in Nanny’s freezer, so we’ll only be able to make ice-cream at Nanny’s house 🙁 When we move house, we’ll be able to fit in, though. Mummy wants a freezer like Nanny Trish and Grandad Mal’s. To be fair, I hope we get one like theirs, too!
My friend Elise and her mum got me a wonderful summer-dress with spots and flowers on it. It’s bright red, and really pretty. I also got an art-book. It’s really cool and I need to pass on a great thank you to Elise and her mum!
Tilly made me a doorhanger and a loom band bracelet. They’re both really cool!
Daddy got me a Frozen book, the story of Anna and Elsa. I really like it, and the pictures are funny and the writing serious. Because it was my birthday, I was allowed to listen to Frozen songs without Andy going blastin’ mad. I even got to watch it with Nanny and she really liked it (well, who wouldn’t?) 😉
Oh, and I got this book of me-and-Caitlin photos. It’s like a lapbook of me and her’s adventures, all the adventures of misteries that we get up to. I really think it’s very nice of her, and I really appreciate what she’s done.
***ASTRIXES*** To Katie – if she sees this post – : I hear you have the Sequin-Art wolf on your wall? Interesting. Well, me and you will have the same! We’ll be like matching twins!
I had a really fun birthday, loads of presents and Olaf’s head from the cake!
