As of the 23rd of November, my GCSE-in-6-weeks endeavour has come to a close. I’ve studied for and sat both the papers that constitute a physics GCSE and I’m feeling fairly confident about it. As you can read on this quick catch up post, I thought the first paper didn’t go as well as my practice past papers had gone, but I think I picked up the grade a bit on the second paper. We’ll find out in February when the results are in!

In my past papers for the second exam, the highest score I got was 83%, which is well into a 9. I felt I must have got about 75% in the exam I actually sat which isn’t bad. For the first paper, I was getting about 85% in my practice past papers – also well into a 9 – but felt that the actual exam just flopped and I think I’ll be lucky if I got 50%. You can read about that experience in more detail on my catch up post.

After six weeks of really intensive studying, I’m absolutely exhausted and looking forward to a few days of rest before I get back to work. This time, though, I’ll be getting back to the studying I actually enjoy: reading, writing, art, philosophy and the like.
