Last Thursday, I did my first Latin session at the place where I work (shop downstairs, home ed activities centre thing upstairs). It was just a taster session to see if everyone enjoyed it, and I think they did! I only had four kids in the end as some couldn’t make it, but I think when the lessons start properly at the end of September there’ll be more people there. We worked through a combination of Getting Started with Latin by William Linney and the Minimus series. They actually got through a lot more content than I thought they would in just half an hour. One girl was actually taking notes which made me smile.
It felt great to have a sort of LLL type thing going on again. I had a really nice time teaching them and can’t wait for the sessions to start properly in a few weeks.
