This summer, we’ve been really, super busy. Like you would probably know from other posts, we went to Paris, and I went to my friend Liv-Astrid’s birthday party and stayed on an excellent sleepover there. I also, rather recently, went on a sleepover with my other friend Caitlin, eating tasty pulled pork tacos and delicious bacon frenchstick. I loved the food there and the sofa-bed provided.
We also did some work – Latin, History, Geography and we also learnt about religions like about Jesus (we watched The Bible series), and Buddhism and Hinduism, though I don’t believe in it – I just find it rather fascinating. The stories the people believe in – the gods and goddesses and their swift tales – it is just quite interesting. I especially liked the story of – wait, I have forgotten his name – ah, yes, I think it is Ganesha. Well, Shiva, Ganesha’s father, chopped off his head, thinking his son was someone else, and, in his terrified horror, he replaced Ganesha’s head with the nearest one – which, of course, turned out to be an elephant’s.
Andy’s birthday also occured, and Tilly’s, which I will tell you about next. Anyway, Andy had many presents and a party, but the main good thing about it for me was that my Granddad and Nanny came down from France. I was very excited to see them, as I haven’t done in at least two and a half years, and I wanted to hear all about their fantastic journeys around France and what their house was like. So far, luckily, they seem to be having a very good time! They stayed over at our house for two or three nights, I think it was, and Mummy and Andy went to my other Nanny’s house to sleep there and then came round at about half ten in the morning to see how we were going. And indeed, we were very good and definitely well-fed, and all very excited at the same time!
On Tilly’s birthday we were going to have some sleepovers with friends, but instead invited Nanny-in-England to see us and Auntie Beci, Uncle Chris and little baby Sebby. Tilly got some very good presents, but I think she liked her new, red laptop the best! She has installed some games and things on it, and, while me and William were asleep, stayed up until after ten downloading things 😀
We haven’t been going on many trips but we will do now that the school holidays have ended, but I met my friend Lillian at the park and that sort of fun thing. Instead of going back to normal school, William has moved up to Middle School instead of Primary School, and I think I am quite rather glad that I don’t have to go – and that, hopefully enough, I never will have to!
Debenhams in London have thrown Ben the Bear in their stupid, ugly bins and I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER, forgive them! They knew rather fully well that it belonged to a Ben-attached little girl, ME, as we had emailed them about it – and they obviously didn’t have to throw poor Benny in the huge, disgusting BIN! Here are some photos that were taken only minutes before I left him in Debenhams, never to be seen again 🙁
Instead of weeping and moaning (well I did of course cry a lot at first) and adding ‘remind Debenhams about their crime they have done‘ to my task list, I have got a new bear, who of course, I will not love as much as I did with Ben, but who I still love very dearly, called Kendall. He has a chocolate-brown coat and a green-and-white checked tie, and he is very cute. Though the material he is made of has a hole in it, and I may have to send him back 🙁
