Today it was Tilly’s 13th birthday party! We all met up at Wrest Park with loads of her friends. It was lovely weather and it’s brilliant going to Wrest Park, with the mansion and the grounds and the playground. It was really great!
I made friends with Elodie, who’s fourteen, and we spent the whole time chatting continuously about stories, as she loves to write them too! One time we were wandering aimlessly around when we found a little dog cemetary in the shape of a lucky horseshoe, with about twenty dogs in it that had died in the de Grey family!
At the beginning, we all played ‘Sardines’ and that sort of thing. However, when we moved to the Pavilion to play ‘hide-and-seek’, Elodie and I went to the cafe and back (which is about fifteen minutes walk) six times filling up water bottles or going to the loo or saying bye to her mum.
We had a huge cake that we bought from a brilliant shop called Costco, and it said ‘Happy Birthday’ with purple and yellow flowers. It was delicious, what with the whipped cream and such!
We went home just as we were kicked out, which was normal for us, since we’re usually there till closing time anyways 😉
