11-17 September
On Monday, we went to swimming lessons. Everyone was on a trip at Legoland apart from me, Tilly, and Lillian – so we had a private tuition lesson all to ourselves! At Guides, I need to start making some friends, but everybody seems really weird and schooly to the point that I don’t really want to make friends with them… However, Andy says he’ll give me some lessons where he’ll teach me ‘the ways’. Don’t ask me what ‘the ways’ are.
On Tuesday this week, after waiting all week to, PITCHED THE TENT!! We decided we were going to sleep in it in the garden for the night, but, unfortunately, we had no sleeping bags… so we couldn’t. The next day Mummy got the sleeping bags from Nanny’s, but in the morning we found the tent had blown over in the particularly windy night, and was attached to the ground by one peg and blowing over the table and the bench and the hedges! So we took it down and didn’t sleep in it then either.
As I said on Tuesday, we woke up on Wednesday to find the tent flying around the garden. Tilly and Andy took it down while Mummy and I rushed off to my first piano lessons with a nice lady whose house smelt of dog. However it didn’t go very well because she wanted me to just work through a book, which I could do at home; so when we got home, we left her lessons and started with online lessons with an amazing course with a very nice man called Mr Hoffman. He’s very good and has his own method, ‘Hoffman Method’, where he doesn’t make you work through a book. All this time, Tilly was volunteering at the nursery, and I made a delicious Indian feast-y thing, which was really yummy!
On Thursday, we had Latin club in the morning. We’ve finally made it to the group after all that working through the summer holidays! It’s at our friends Myrren’s and Jasper’s house, with a nice lady called Hazel. Afterwards, we stayed at their house and made a puppet show, where I felt very proud behind-the-scenes making sound effects on their keyboard! When we got home, William and I went to Tilly’s meeting with her. It was a sort of congratulations ceremony for her volunteering at the library during the summer holidays. (She’s allowed to bring in friends or family.) There was a lot of talking, but at the end there was a lot of cake and crisps and sweets, so…
On Friday this week, we worked in the morning nad had our last filmmaking session in the afternoon. We finished off the recording and everything, but now we only have to wait for the premiere, party, and show release!! It’s going to be soooo much fun! In the evening I went on some websites like Tinydeal with Andy and bought some pretty necklaces.
On Saturday, we played schools for the WHOLE morning, eight to twelve, only breaking for lunch and breakfast! Our ‘schools’ thing is where we make our own schools on our laptops (it’s VERY educational) and have folders with all different sorts of lessons in them and things. It’s really organised and fun!! We did quite a lot of work in the afternoon, but that was fun as well because it gave us inspiration for our own schools!
On Sunday, we went to Wrest Park for a walk around, did some work, and played more schools. Like I said before, I cannot help expressing my love for schoooooooools!! XD It is amazingly wittyingly breathtakingly stupefyingly convivial! (I don’t even know what convivial means, but apparently it’s a synonym for fun.)
