Weekly Summary 2018 – Week 19

7 – 13 May 2018

Monday

On Monday, we went to Mummy’s friend Kate’s house to see her and her children, twelve-year-old Freyja, ten-year-old Florence, four-year-old Stanley, and one-month-old Ethel! Click here to see my post about our day.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, after a long day at Kate’s house the day before, we stayed in, did some work (and playing!), and walked up to the park to get some exercise.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, we stayed in again and concentrated on some hard-core work. We also watched our favourite documentary, Bang Goes The Theory. In the evening, Tilly went to Rangers, her fortnightly club.

Thursday

On Thursday, we had French in the morning. I’m finding it sometimes easy, sometimes difficult, but always fun! In the afternoon I had art class with my friends’ mum Nicola; I was a little annoyed, because Nicola told me that the art I had brought in as homework was rubbish, and that I should like the art she liked, which was a piece of white cardboard with some bumps on it. So what had been my looking-forward-to-fun-fun-fun-art-class became, that day, an upsetting-and-overall-rather-not-fun-art-class. Next week’s session will be my last.

Friday

On Friday this week, we had Identity—our Friday drama club—in the morning. We’re rehearsing for a pantomime for this Christmas, and guess who I am? None other than Miss Trunchbull! We were all practising how our characters would walk, talk, and react to each other. My vocabulary consisted only of “repulsive”, “snotty-nosed children”, “lily-livered twits”, “revolting”, “vicous sneak theif”, “it makes me vomit”, “filthy”, and “grimy”. But then I guess Miss Trunchbull herself doesn’t really know any other words either.

Saturday

On Saturday, we had our other drama club, Stagecoach, in the morning. We do an hour of dance, and hour of drama, and an hour of singing. Our dance teacher is called Natalie (and I really don’t like her), our drama teacher is called Kate (I really like her), and our singing teacher is called Dani (I really like her too)!

Sunday

On Sunday this week, Mummy and I went to London! To read about our trip, click here.
