18-24 September 2017
On Monday to Friday, we went to Dorset. If you click here you can see my post on it!
At the weekend, I went to Chatterbooks and Tilly went to Bookmunchers (Bookmunchers is the teen group for Chatterbooks), which are usually at different times, but joined together for that day to see an author called Julia Jarman. She was a little dull (probably because she was an English teacher!) and her books were a bit beyond me, but I’m sure she was a very nice lady. She talked very slowly and said particularly boring and beyond-us words like, ‘Ohh! Ohhh, what was that? Was it – uhhh! – a fairy? A – ohhh, it was! – a fairy! Natasha was just… dumbfounded! Ohh! Was it really a – uhh! – fairy..!’ And yes, so that went on for a while. But at the end we got cake and squash, so everyone was happy.
The next day, Sunday, Nanny came round and I had my hair cut! We got it cut one, because it was straggly and messy, and two, because we’re going to France with Grandad Mal and Nanny Trish, so I needed to have it done! She cut it an inch or so below shoulderlength, and I have to say it’s a lot easier to brush, wash, even to sleep with, because it isn’t in the way so much! Also, that night, we put up the tent in the garden, and Tilly and I have been sleeping in it for three nights already!
We also did some science and had a lot of walks with icecreams this weekend…
