25 September – 1 October 2017
On Monday this week, we went to our swimming lessons, as usual. Even though it’s Guides tonight and we’re home really late, we’re sleeping in the tent again! It’s so much fun! And even though it’s really late, too! It’s kind of scary going in when it’s all dark, but really fun inside, and Tilly sings the traditional night-night song:
Go to sleep, go to sleep
Close your BIG BLOODSHOT eyes,
Go to sleep, go to sleep,
Go to BLOODY BLOODY BLOODY SLEEP!!!
Which she always sings when we’re camping or something.
On Tuesday, we’re still going in the tent in the garden tonight! I made a worksheet and presentation on atoms with quizzes and learning checks and everything, but the Chromecast wasn’t working so I had to get everyone to crowd round my laptop and do it like that, which was okay but a little annoying.
This week, on Wednesday, Tilly went to volunteer at the nursery again. Mummy and I did some cooking, where we made a delicious Indian feast of chicken kebabs, mint yoghurt, lime-pickled onions, rice, and juicy salad! It was absolutely delicious. Tilly was at Rangers that night, so I couldn’t sleep in the tent because she only got back till really late; however, we will return to it tomorrow!
On Thursday, as I said, I decided not to go in the tent by myself till Tilly got back the night before, but we shall sleep in it again tonight. We did our Latin club in the morning, where it was slightly annoying because Jasper kept shouting out the answers when it was my go. However, the actual club was fun when he wasn’t shouting out answers!
On Friday, we went to our drama in the morning (again with the whole tent-sleeping ritual last night). In the evening, after dinner, we watched a bit of Harry Potter with hot chocolate!
This Saturday, Tilly, William and I tried out drama at a company called Stagecoach. It was soooo much fun! William came from his mum’s because he wasn’t with us this week. And guess what? Emma Watson – when she was little, before she was in Harry Potter – went to Stagecoach, and that was how she got her part as Hermione Granger! Every now and then, the agencies come and ask who you are and what you like to do, and then they figure out whether you could go in a film or not – that’s how Emma Watson did it!
They did an hour of drama, an hour of dance, and an hour of singing. They had three groups, or stages (actually named Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Slytherin and Hufflepuff from Harry Potter). William and I and maybe ten or eleven others were in Ravenclaw, Stage 2. Tilly went in Hufflepuff with the older ones in Stage 3. In case you were wondering, there was a different drama group earlier that morning for little ones. That was the one that was called Slytherin; that’s why there were four names but three stages.
Tilly seems to have gone off with a slouching teenage boy called Bevan, who has his black skinny jeans so low you can see his pants. He’s nice enough, but he’s very teenagery and lounges around on his phone texting people during break, and doesn’t join in with the activities properly.
I liked the drama and singing – I did like dance, but prefered the more ACTION!!! things, so yes. It was sooo much fun!!
On Sunday, nasty Andy made us put down the tent! :'( However, Tilly slept in my room next to my bed in sleeping bags, so it was pretty much the same experience, just a warmer one with brick walls.
