2 – 8 October 2017
On Monday, we did some proper hard work in the morning. Tilly’s sleeping in my room again, next to my bed! We had swimming lessons after lunch, and then we went to Guides. One of the activity questions was to write an ideal gift for Queen Victoria; I said a book called ’50 Shades of Black’. We don’t actually have this tripe in our house, but I do know what ’50 Shades of Grey’ is a load of old teenage nonsense about boyfriends and girlfriends, whichh I imagine is not actually what Queen Victoria would want!
The next day was Tuesday, and we went to the Safari Park with Andy! You can read about it here. I am now writing a comic strip about the animals I saw there, including Wallace Wallaby and Tyson Tiger!
On Wednesday, Tilly went to the nursery to volunteer. I sat in the hairdresser for hours and hours while Mummy had her hair dyed – I got so bored I walked up the library and back and nearly went into the wrong hairdresser. I did some work on my Woburn cartoon and although incredibly mind-gumming, brain-dumbing and skull-numbing, it was an okay day.
On Thursday this week, Tilly came back with the Nursery Diseases with a horrible cold. We did some Latin in the morning, working mainly in the morning, and finished by finishing a film called ‘What About Bob?’ which was incredibly funny!
On Friday, William came back from his mum’s and we had a sort of mini birthday party (his real birthday was at his mum’s). He unwrapped all his presents (including a ‘Box of Shocks’ electric prank set) and had a delicious birthday dinner of spicy enchiladas. We played one of his present-games, Catan, and had hot chocolate fudge cake with more chocolate and more fudge and more chocolate than ever known on a cake before!!
On Saturday, we had drama, and our singing teacher, Danni, changed to Honey temporarily, who is an opera soprano! We watched a really good film called ‘Kes’, but I’m very sad because I’m full of cold and lurgy 🙁
Sunday this week and I was absolutely streaming snot and had a very groggy head :'( We went to the ‘Fun Palace’, where we volunteered and joined in with some of the activities ourselves! We did drumming, craft and even Morris dancing, where they want me, of all people, to become the leader of the new generation of Morris Dancing – and they weren’t joking! They were being entirely serious about this generation of Morris dancing. It was like they’d gone round the bend!
