15 – 21 May 2017
On Monday, we went swimming. Our friends Seth, Matilda and Arthur have joined now, but they’re all in different groups; what’s good though is that afterwards we have a little time to splash about and play! After that, at about seven, Tilly and I walked up the drive to go to Guides when who happened to be passing by at that exact time in their car but Eleanor! Her mum Amanda asked us if we wanted a lift because they were on their way to Guides too, and we got in, rolled the car back and forth a bit to show Mummy it was Amanda’s car we’d got in, not some kidnapper, and went off to Guides! We made a cherry, raspberry and strawberry smoothie and it was delish!
On Tuesday, we met up with Elise in Wrest Park, and we played in the playground until we were exhausted! We played a sort of acting game, where we were orphans who escaped from an orphanage. The headmaster (me) had lost plenty of his noodles and I kept jumping off things and shouting, ‘Incoming!’ and ‘Bombs away!’ and then I had to talk to talk to Elise and Matilda (acting Paige and Rose) without laughing! It was really hard when I’d just cried ‘Incoming!’ and jumped off the roof that you’re not meant to jump off!
On Wednesday, we stayed in a bit and did some work. I’m still writing my story ‘Dragon Fighter’, which is currently 102 pages long exactly! And it’s still not finished! I’m planning on publishing it, too!
Thursday was pretty much a repeat of Wedneday, though we went to the park to re-enact Ninja Warrior as well XD
You may remember when we used to go to a drama club called ‘Identity’? Well, we left, and now we’ve joined it again! Not-our-Matilda also came along with us and she said she had LOADS of fun, and we did too! We’re doing a sort of musical of ABBA and Michael Jackson songs – a bit of a mish-mash, but really fun! Some of the ones we’ve started doing are ‘You Are Not Alone’ (Michael Jackson) and ‘Waterloo’ (ABBA). Afterward, we went to the park with Arthur and Seth and Matilda, the first two of whom came round when we’d finished Identity. It was so much fun!
On Saturday morning, Tilly went to Bookmunchers, in the library, and made a mug for Nanny. In the afternoon, I went to my book club and made a mug for Auntie Beci. When I walked myself home Tilly and William met me at the foot of our street and we walked up to my friend Clara’s house, which is on the same street as us. We asked her if she could come to the park with us, and she said she could, and that her friend Abby was there and if she could come too. We said yes and went to the park with one of Tilly’s home-made oat and cranberry cookies! For dinner that night Tilly made a delicious chicken katsu with rice and pea crisps! It was absolutely amazingly astoundingly astonishingly wonderful!
Today, on Sunday, we had lunch in the garden because it was such a lovely warm day! Mummy baked some Paul Hollywood bake-in-the-oven rolls and put in some lettuce, avacado and mayonnaise. It was absolutely delicious! We topped it off with some yummy melon Mummy had prepared. Then we decided to go to the park and re-enacted our Ninja Warrior tournament there. We had two characters each and we got to the Second Stage when we got too exhausted in the heat to do anything, so we lounged on the basket-swing and then went home XD As soon as we got back I started making some white chocolate and cranberry cookies, and they’re in the oven now, waiting to be eaten! William helped to make some butternut squash and chickpea stew with coucous 🙂
