I spent the day volunteering with Connie again, this time finishing off the Christmas tree decorations and soap dishes I was working on last week. For the soap dishes, they had to be sponged down to smoothen the edges and packed into crates ready for Connie to take home to fire them in her kiln. I added little dots of slip onto a few of them that will look really pretty when they’re all done and painted.
For the Christmas decorations – which are robins, hedgehogs and elephants – I gave them little eyes also using slip. I can’t wait to see them when they’re done too, I think they’ll look so cute and festive!
