Manning the pottery shop by myself (almost!)

Today, Connie was redecorating the art gallery nextdoor to her shop (all in the same building though), so I was tasked with manning the fort while she was helping out over there. For my morning job, I was given a big box of paper bags to stamp logos onto, and got through over 250 in the end!

After my lunch, I moved onto my next job which was sponging the robin decorations I shaped last week. Sponging is just what it sounds like – taking a wet sponge and dabbing the clay (known as greenware when not yet fired) to smoothen any rough edges and give it a more polished surface generally.

I managed to sell two products to customers. My pottery skills may be improving but I’m evidently not the best saleswoman 😛
