School of Rock (2004): Review

Starring: Jack Black, Joan Cusack

Jack Black is one of my all-time favourite actors, and I think he performed exceptionally in this hilarious film. It’s my second time around watching it, but I could happily watch it for a third, fourth, fifth time. It’s that good.

Dewey Finn, a guitarist who was kicked out of his own band by his unimpressed band members, pretends to be a schoolteacher. Instead of teaching the students maths, he secretly prepares them for a competition called Battle of the Bands, forming a rock group out of the children and himself.

5 stars out of 5. It had Jack Black in it. Need I say more?

Quotes

Those who can’t do, teach. And those who can’t teach, teach gym.

Ned Schneebly: You could sell your guitars?
Dewey Finn: What? Would you tell Picasso to sell his guitars?
